Welcome to the properties for sale section of our web site. We have now sold more than 30 properties since our relocation to Normandy in France. A lot of the properties we have sold are those that require renovation in part or whole, and we have gone on to restore some of those properties on behalf of our clients, samples of which can be found at our Property Renovation page. Please note that properties purchased directly from us do not incur an agents fee, which in France is paid by the purchaser, saving in most cases around 7% of the purchase price.
We are often asked why is it that somebody would buy a property in need of total renovation instead of buying a house that is in a livable condition. We try to answer this by explaining that renovating a property has many advantages such as the fact that the cost of the initial purchase, plus that of renovation will render a practically new house with all your own features at a price less than a comparable property that is ready to go. A renovated house will have all new features such as new wiring and plumbing, modern windows and insulation, new kitchen and bathroom fixtures, a new roof, and it can all be built to your exact requirements, and carry a full ten year guarantee.
Some of the properties that we have for sale already have building permission and approved plans for renovation, some are part restored and some will be sold as completely restored, others will be just a plot of land that will require planning and building consent. We are able to manage the whole procedure of planning and renovating any of the properties that we have for sale and we will also be delighted to manage the project for renovating any property that you already own.
Renovating a property may appear a little daunting at first glance but with our help you will find the process is a lot more straight forward than you might think. Some clients buy cheap properties in France purely as an investment and many buyers have shown very good returns on property purchases in the years that we have lived in Normandy, although we do recommend that you take advice from qualified professionals before considering property as an investment.
